Senior Industrial Engineer - Subject Matter Expert

Responsibilities

  • Plan, design, implement, and manage integrated, production and service delivery systems to ensure performance, reliability, maintainability, schedule adherence, and cost control within the production site.
  • Direct and implement projects that eliminate waste using the standard Industrial Engineering process, including complex process simulation, operations research, and business model cost analysis.
  • Lead as Site Subject Matter Expert in all global and regional Industrial Engineering systems, practices, and applications (IEDB, MPT, PFC).
  • Communicate key Industrial Engineering metrics for assigned customers to the site leadership team.
  • Support and advise Business Unit Coordinators on process reliability and accuracy of process and project assumptions.
  • Drive process improvement related activities for New Product Introduction.
  • Coach, mentor, and train engineers within the Industrial Engineering team.
  • Maintain and support all lower-level Industrial Engineering essential duties and responsibilities.
  • Communicate, consult, and inform Site IE best practices with supporting data to Regional and Global IE teams.
  • Support the Lean organization by developing a solid process foundation and data integrity to support process improvement throughout the organization.
  • Understand and apply a broad range of industrial engineering tools (work measurement, simulation, process mapping, facilities and workstation design, operations research, etc.).

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or similar related discipline required.
  • Masters degree in Industrial Engineering or MBA preferred.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in Industrial Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering role, or other combination of education or experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a Leadership or Supervisory role required.

Qualifications

  • Lean Masters Certificate or Six Sigma Bronze required.
  • MS Suite experience including Outlook, Visio, and Project required.
  • AutoCAD skills/experience required.
  • Strong financial and analytical ability, for example Profit & Loss, Planning and Delivery.

Skills

  • Knowledge of broad range of industrial engineering tools (work measurement, simulation, process mapping, facilities and workstation design, operations research, etc.)
