About the role
The Entegris site in Bedford, MA is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Industrial Engineer to join our team. The Senior Industrial Engineer will lead initiatives to drive safety, operational efficiency, and manufacturing excellence across the production floor.
Responsibilities
- Safety & Operational Excellence - Champion a safety-first culture while integrating safety considerations into all process improvements
- Lead LEAN manufacturing initiatives to eliminate waste and improve process flow
- Develop and enhance a visual factory with clear metrics, targets, and performance tracking
- OEE & Equipment Efficiency - Drive OEE system implementation, standardization, and adoption across operations
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) on OEE losses and execute sustainable corrective actions
- Improve equipment utilization and operational efficiency, including targeted improvements on PECVD processes (liner changes, changeovers, uptime optimization)
- Production Planning & SAP Optimization - Improve schedule adherence through SAP master data optimization
- Drive lead time reduction initiatives through workflow and system improvements
- Enhance rework, yield, and WIP visibility through system improvements and reporting
- Material, Inventory & Flow Optimization - Optimize WIP levels to reduce queue times and improve throughput
- Improve consumable and bulk material usage
- Drive inventory optimization strategies aligned with production demand
- Improve space utilization and storage efficiency
- Labor Efficiency & Productivity - Analyze and improve labor efficiency, ensuring accurate capture of all work
- Optimize labor work centers and reporting structures in SAP
- Drive labor productivity improvements with clear metrics
- Establish and track work cell performance targets and standard metrics
- Digital & Process Transformation - Lead transition from paper-based processes to electronic systems
- Support long-term MES strategy and implementation initiatives
- Improve data integrity and accessibility to enable data-driven decision making
- Set visual factory model
- Manufacturing & NPI Support - Assess new product manufacturing readiness, including routings, BOMs, layout, and workflow efficiency
- Develop and implement Best Known Methods (BKMs) for production processes
- Partner with cross-functional teams (engineering, operations, quality, supply chain) to drive alignment and execution
- Execution & Leadership - Actively work on the manufacturing floor to identify issues and implement solutions firsthand
- Lead cross-functional improvement efforts with a strong bias for action and accountability
- Deliver measurable improvements in efficiency, yield, throughput, and cost
Requirements
- BS or MS in Industrial Engineering or related engineering field, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, ideally in the semiconductor or precision materials industry
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to influence, guide, engineers and operations personnel
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability, including statistical analysis and structured troubleshooting methods
- Excellent documentation and technical writing skills
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present technical information clearly to executives, peers, and customers
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and manage multiple priorities
- Strong project management skills and ability to lead cross-functional teams
- Outstanding Candidates Will Have:
- Proven experience leading complex investigations, implementing process control systems, and improving stability and capability
- Expertise with Lean, Six Sigma, and structured problem-solving tools
- Demonstrated success leading cross-functional initiatives
- Understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes and cleanroom requirements
- A continuous improvement mindset and strong ownership of results
Qualifications
- BS or MS in Industrial Engineering or related engineering field, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, ideally in the semiconductor or precision materials industry

Pay
$91,000- $114,000 per year range with actual pay dependent on candidate overall skills for the role
