Senior Industrial Engineer

Support the Industrial Engineering Team and Engineered Labor Standards program through process engineering, data collection and analysis, associate training, and program implementation across all distribution centers nationwide.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain engineered labor standards for distribution functions, including warehousing, transportation, and other relevant departments at assigned facilities.
• Study and analyze current processes, determine their effectiveness, and recommend strategies for improvement.
• Implement and train DC management, supervision, and hourly support staff in proper methods and procedures to sustain acceptable productivity levels.
• Engage with associates to present engineering labor standards, using a change management strategy that ensures understanding and implementation across all levels, including management and union members.
• Develop and evaluate facility layout changes to improve productivity and efficiency.
• Provide cost savings analysis associated with facility layout changes and perform other related duties as required.
• Test labor-related improvements in EXE, Red Prairie, and other Labor Management Systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, or a related quantitative discipline.
• 5–7 years of distribution and warehousing experience.
• Experience using Red Prairie's Labor Management System and/or EXE Warehouse Management System.
• Proficiency in work study techniques such as stopwatch studies, work sampling, and predetermined time and motion systems (MTM, MOST).
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
• Flexibility to work outside normal hours and travel to other facilities as needed (75% travel required).

Pay

$102,440 – $135,720 per year
