Responsibilities
- Cook
- Assign workloads based on scheduled appointments and priorities
- Utilize yard management systems (PINC/NYMS) to manage trailer moves and dock alignment
- Perform trailer inspections during check-in/check-out (site specific)
- Conduct audits (PINC, BOL, ICC, Quality) and ensure compliance and proper record retention
- Communicate effectively across teams to meet daily business objectives
- Resolve operational flow issues and minimize downtime
- Compile daily reports on workload status and outbound carrier activity
- Ensure adherence to operational procedures by all stakeholders
- Support operational initiatives, projects, and continuous improvement efforts
- Support inventory control and fill rate processes to ensure customer orders are completed
- Participate in required training and support site security as needed
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements
- A high school diploma required
- An associate’s degree or higher preferred and/or equivalent experience
- Experience in logistics operations preferred
- Experience with labor planning and warehouse equipment
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (EWM) and SAP preferred
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Proficiency with systems and software applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A high attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Problem-solving skills with ability to make routine decisions quickly
- Ability to train and mentor peers in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to manage ongoing system and process changes
