About the role
The Senior Hydrogeologist at Verdantas is responsible for assessing, modeling, and managing groundwater and surface water systems. This role involves technical proficiency in environmental data collection, analysis, and interpretation to support water resource projects and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
- Understand, protect, and promote Verdantas' culture in all aspects of the business.
- Implement complex technical requirements for client projects to meet client satisfaction and ensure projects are delivered safely and within scope, schedule, and budget.
- Serve as an interdisciplinary team member in meetings and communications with clients pertaining to specific projects/tasks.
- Conduct hydrogeologic and environmental data collection, including field sampling, monitoring, and analysis.
- Perform groundwater and surface water modeling to evaluate resource availability, flow dynamics, and contaminant transport.
- Interpret hydrostratigraphic data and correlate geological units for project feasibility and design.
- Design, test, and rehabilitate production wells and underground injection wells, including UIC well design and mechanical integrity testing.
- Prepare technical specifications, permit applications, renewals, annual reports, and regulatory documentation.
- Lead aquifer performance and land application load tests and analyze hydraulic data from monitoring networks and cellular telemetry systems.
- Evaluate groundwater supply options, conduct wellfield assessments, and participate in ASR (Aquifer Storage and Recovery) projects.

- Ability to interpret complex hydrogeologic data and present findings clearly.
- Relevant certifications and professional licenses preferred.
