Senior Hydroelectric Power Utility Engineer (Supervisor)

About the role

Join a team of highly motivated professionals delivering water to over 27 million Californians and contributing to environmental protection and species conservation efforts. Under the general direction of the Power Planning Section Manager, this position serves as the Power Resources Unit Manager.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate CDWR's preparation of an integrated resource plan for the State Water Project (SWP).
• Lead and coordinate the development of a SWP energy portfolio policy for procurement and operations of generation resources.
• Monitor and participate in statewide energy planning and resource policy forums (may require travel).
• Perform SWP operations studies to find optimal strategies that promote affordable and stable energy costs of SWP water deliveries.

Pay

$11,437.00 - $14,315.00 per month.

Schedule

• Permanent, full-time position.
