Duty Statement

The incumbent supports Emergency Preparedness and Physical Security activities in document development and maintenance; internal and external coordination; communications, information sharing, and technology preparedness; project, contract, and resource management; and training and exercises.

Minimum Requirements

This position requires incumbent to work cooperatively with others; maintain consistent and regular predictable attendance; exercise good judgment; possess good written and oral communication skills; support change by communicating Department policy, procedures and instructions on emergency preparedness, response, and recovery, as well as physical security activities to unify the organization while meeting regulatory compliance; and stay abreast of best practices.

Special Requirements

  • Must be willing and available to work outside normal business hours, including periodic overnight stays in various locations throughout the State of California.
  • Employee is required to successfully complete all safety, emergency management, Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP), and physical security training related to the functions of the job.

Skills

It is desirable for the incumbent to have knowledge and experience in contract management—including contracts, task orders, invoices, and deliverables—as well as document development and maintenance, such as planning, content development, monitoring, tracking, and analysis. The role also requires strong communications and coordination skills, including planning, organizing, and controlling activities, along with experience in procedures development and working with internal and external agencies. Proficiency with technology platforms, including the MS Office Suite, automated notification systems, and databases, is important. Additional desirable experience includes materials management, such as logistics, coordination, communication, and tracking, and security management involving regulations, controls, training, and awareness.

Pay

$11,437.00 - $14,315.00 per Month
