Senior Hydraulic Structures Engineer
About the role
Join our team of talented engineers as a Senior Hydraulic Structures Engineer. You will lead projects involving dams, spillways, intakes and outlets, and other hydropower and hydraulic structure improvements. You will collaborate with subject matter experts across a wide array of disciplines to deliver PS&E’s, technical analyses, etc.
Responsibilities
- Communicate and work directly with client counterparts to understand key interests for developing technical solutions to their infrastructure challenges, providing ideas and strategies to deliver projects from concept to closeout.
- Translate client direction into efficient work plans and coordinate with project team members to deliver high-quality work products.
- Create written technical documents, technical drawings, specifications, cost estimates, alternatives analyses, and other common engineering deliverables.
- Show familiarity with design guides, standards, systems, and applicable engineering codes relevant to the hydropower industry.
- Demonstrate the ability to leverage knowledge of general engineering principles including hydraulics, civil/structural design, geotechnical considerations, and mechanical systems to generate unique, engineered solutions.
- Prepare and oversee the preparation of calculations and design documents.
- Participate in equipment procurement and construction management processes.
- Manage and mentor junior engineers.
- Provide support to business development teams for pursuit activities with the opportunity to lead projects that you pursue and acquire.
Qualifications
- Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering from a recognized accredited program in their home country or the country in which the professional is practicing or equivalent experience in Engineering work.
- Minimum of 11 years related work experience.
- Familiarity with state and federal regulatory requirements for dams and hydropower clients.
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) License.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with West Coast hydropower clients.
- Master's Degree in Civil Engineering or Business.

Pay
$142,090.00 - $308,464.00
Schedule
Hybrid or flexible work options may be offered after the first 90 days of employment based upon manager discretion, job performance and work assignments.
