Responsibilities

  • Serve as the technical expert for chiller systems, central plant operations, and complex commercial HVAC infrastructure across a portfolio of hospitality properties.
  • Perform advanced diagnostics, troubleshooting, repair, and optimization of air-cooled, water-cooled, centrifugal, screw, and scroll chillers.
  • Support HVAC infrastructure across properties ranging from legacy systems to newly developed facilities.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex electrical, refrigeration, controls, and mechanical issues impacting guest rooms, public spaces, food and beverage venues, meeting spaces, and back-of-house operations.
  • Support and optimize Building Automation Systems (BAS), control networks, VFDs, sensors, and associated equipment.
  • Maintain accurate service documentation, repair records, equipment histories, and technical recommendations.
  • Partner with contractors, manufacturers, and service providers to ensure quality service and timely resolution of technical issues.
  • Support property renovations, capital improvement projects, equipment replacements, and infrastructure modernization efforts.
  • Respond to critical HVAC failures and operational emergencies to minimize guest and business disruption.
  • Provide flexible support by performing other duties that contribute to team and organizational success.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of progressively responsible commercial or industrial HVAC experience.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with chilled water systems and multiple chiller manufacturers, including Daikin, Trane, Carrier, York, Johnson Controls, McQuay, or similar platforms.
  • Advanced knowledge of cooling towers, pumps, HVAC controls, refrigeration systems, and mechanical room operations.
  • Experience supporting multi-building campuses, hospitality environments, healthcare facilities, industrial sites, or similar complex operations.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills involving electrical systems, refrigeration circuits, BAS platforms, PLCs, VFDs, and electronic controls.
  • Experience supporting facilities with varying infrastructure ages and equipment technologies.
  • EPA Refrigerant Certification preferred.
  • Associate degree, technical certification, or equivalent experience in HVAC, Refrigeration, Electrical Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience training, mentoring, or providing technical leadership to maintenance teams.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
