Senior HVAC Technician

About the Role

We are representing an opportunity for a Senior HVAC Technician to support the operation and reliability of critical building systems in an industrial environment. Our team is looking for a candidate who can troubleshoot, maintain, and improve complex mechanical systems while helping keep facility operations running safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and repairs on boilers, chillers, cooling towers, pumps, motors, valves, and related distribution systems.
• Support maintenance and repair work for air compressors, breathing air systems, air handling units, and rooftop HVAC units.
• Conduct routine inspections and tests, including water testing, chemical inventories, and brine level checks, while documenting work in the computerized maintenance management system.
• Assist with major repairs, operate mechanical tools and equipment safely, maintain compliance with safety requirements, and communicate updates to supervision.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on experience maintaining industrial HVAC and mechanical systems.
• Experience with steam boilers up to 37.5 million BTUs, water boilers up to 6 million BTUs, and chillers up to 1,000 tons.
• EPA Universal certification is required.
• Experience rebuilding pumps and a general understanding of computers and computerized maintenance systems is required.
• Ability to work Monday through Friday with rotating weekend coverage and 12-hour shifts every 7 weeks or so.
• Industrial experience is required; residential HVAC experience is not the focus for this position.
