About the role

The Human Resources Generalist will support the day-to-day administration of human resources programs and processes, focusing exclusively on HR operations and employee support.

Responsibilities

  • Recruiting & Onboarding
    • Coordinate recruitment activities and candidate scheduling.
    • Conduct new hire orientation and onboarding activities.
    • Manage onboarding documentation and new hire records in Paylocity.
    • Partner with hiring managers and Corporate HR throughout the hiring process.
  • Employee Relations
    • Serve as the first point of contact for employee questions and concerns.
    • Support employee relations matters and workplace investigations in partnership with HR leadership.
    • Assist with coaching conversations, corrective action documentation, and conflict resolution.
    • Support employee engagement and recognition initiatives.
  • Compliance & HR Administration
    • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and company employment policies.
    • Maintain required labor law postings and personnel records.
    • Coordinate compliance-related training, including harassment prevention and other required programs.
    • Support HR audits and reporting activities.
  • Benefits, Leave & Attendance Administration
    • Assist employees with benefits-related questions and enrollment processes.
    • Support open enrollment activities and qualifying life event changes.
    • Coordinate leave administration and employee documentation with Corporate HR.
    • Maintain attendance records and monitor policy compliance.
  • Performance Management & HRIS
    • Track performance review cycles, probationary reviews, and other employee milestones.
    • Maintain employee data and records within Paylocity.
    • Ensure accurate and confidential personnel file administration.
    • Generate HR reports and support workforce planning activities.
  • Culture & Employee Experience
    • Coordinate employee events, recognition programs, and communication initiatives.
    • Support a positive, collaborative workplace culture.
    • Partner with site leadership to drive employee engagement and retention efforts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • 2–3 years of Human Resources experience in a Generalist, Coordinator, or HR Administrator capacity.
  • Working knowledge of California employment law and HR best practices.
  • Experience with HRIS platforms; Paylocity experience preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Experience supporting both office and manufacturing employees is a plus.
