About the role
The Human Resources Generalist will support the day-to-day administration of human resources programs and processes, focusing exclusively on HR operations and employee support.
Responsibilities
- Recruiting & Onboarding
- Coordinate recruitment activities and candidate scheduling.
- Conduct new hire orientation and onboarding activities.
- Manage onboarding documentation and new hire records in Paylocity.
- Partner with hiring managers and Corporate HR throughout the hiring process.
- Employee Relations
- Serve as the first point of contact for employee questions and concerns.
- Support employee relations matters and workplace investigations in partnership with HR leadership.
- Assist with coaching conversations, corrective action documentation, and conflict resolution.
- Support employee engagement and recognition initiatives.
- Compliance & HR Administration
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and company employment policies.
- Maintain required labor law postings and personnel records.
- Coordinate compliance-related training, including harassment prevention and other required programs.
- Support HR audits and reporting activities.
- Benefits, Leave & Attendance Administration
- Assist employees with benefits-related questions and enrollment processes.
- Support open enrollment activities and qualifying life event changes.
- Coordinate leave administration and employee documentation with Corporate HR.
- Maintain attendance records and monitor policy compliance.
- Performance Management & HRIS
- Track performance review cycles, probationary reviews, and other employee milestones.
- Maintain employee data and records within Paylocity.
- Ensure accurate and confidential personnel file administration.
- Generate HR reports and support workforce planning activities.
- Culture & Employee Experience
- Coordinate employee events, recognition programs, and communication initiatives.
- Support a positive, collaborative workplace culture.
- Partner with site leadership to drive employee engagement and retention efforts.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- 2–3 years of Human Resources experience in a Generalist, Coordinator, or HR Administrator capacity.
- Working knowledge of California employment law and HR best practices.
- Experience with HRIS platforms; Paylocity experience preferred.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- Experience supporting both office and manufacturing employees is a plus.
