Senior Human Resources Generalist
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP
Reports to the Director of Administration and Human Resources.
PURPOSE
Function:
2.1.1 To provide specific support to the Human Resources Manager;
2.1.2 Responsible for providing a variety of human resources services for the organization as a whole;
2.1.3 Coordinates training, benefits, employee services, employee relations, and health promotion activities;
2.1.4 Coordinates salary and benefit administration;
2.1.5 Coordinates recruiting and staffing efforts;
Authority:
2.2.1 Point person for Human Resources function within the organization;
2.2.2 Works with Human Resources Manager and Senior Human Resources Generalist to identify needed resources to achieve organization goals;
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Directly implements human resources policies, programs, and practices;
Support the Human Resources Manager and Senior Human Resources Generalist in areas of payroll, benefits, worker’s compensation, affirmative action, safety, salary administration, environmental compliance, training, public relations, plant tours, monthly reports, preparation of disciplinary actions, and plant communications;
Advises and makes recommendations to senior management regarding human resources challenges. Coordinates the resolution of specific policy and procedural related problems;
May conduct group meetings and individual conferences to facilitate implementation of human resources programs. Runs statistical summaries and reports;
Interviews job applicants, reviews applications and resumes, evaluates skills, and makes recommendations regarding applicant qualifications;
Prepares and maintains company salary structure, job documentation, and job evaluation systems. Completes salary surveys;
Develops and recommends policy and procedural improvements;
All other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITY
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Management, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, or related field;
Excellent organizational and communication skills;
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite;
Developed leader and trainer;
Team player and model employee.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift 20 pounds at times.
Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.
POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
This is a full-time position. Typical days and hours of work are Monday through Friday. This position regularly requires extended hours and possible weekend work.
TRAVEL
Local travel to various worksites is required.
