About the Role

An industry-leading organization in the renewable energy sector is seeking an experienced Human Resources Business Partner to support a dynamic, geographically dispersed field operations workforce across the United States. This is a high-visibility role partnering directly with operational leaders and serving as the primary HR advisor for employees working across more than 25 field locations nationwide. The ideal candidate is a strategic business partner who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys building relationships remotely, and can confidently balance leadership coaching with hands-on employee support. Reporting to the Vice President of People & Culture, this position offers the opportunity to influence workforce strategy, employee engagement, organizational effectiveness, and business growth within an essential and rapidly evolving industry.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to operational leaders across multiple U.S. locations
  • Provide guidance on employee relations, performance management, workplace investigations, and corrective action
  • Lead complex employee matters including accommodations, leave administration, return-to-work programs, and workers' compensation cases
  • Coach leaders on workforce planning, talent development, organizational effectiveness, and change management
  • Support organizational growth initiatives, restructures, and workforce expansion efforts
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition, Compensation & Benefits, Learning & Development, Payroll, and HR Operations teams
  • Analyze workforce trends and provide data-driven recommendations that improve engagement, retention, and performance
  • Support employee lifecycle activities including hiring, promotions, transfers, compensation changes, leaves, and separations
  • Help foster a positive employee experience while ensuring compliance with employment laws and company policies

Requirements

  • 7+ years of progressive Human Resources experience
  • Strong HR Business Partner experience supporting multi-state operations
  • Expertise in employee relations, performance management, investigations, and leadership coaching
  • Experience managing leave of absence programs, accommodations, workers' compensation, and complex employee matters
  • Proven ability to influence leaders and operate independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. employment laws and HR compliance practices
  • Experience supporting distributed or field-based workforces

Qualifications

Pay

$93,000 - $106,000 Base + 10% Annual Bonus

Schedule

This role requires regular travel to operational sites throughout the United States, with occasional travel within North America. A valid driver's license is required.
