About the role

Overture Center for the Arts (Overture) is seeking a Senior HR Business Partner (Sr. HRBP) to join its evolving People & Culture function. Reporting to the Chief People Officer (CPO), this role is central to shaping a modern, strategic HR function that connects strategy, culture, and execution across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with senior leaders to understand business needs and translate them into people strategies

  • Support organizational design, workforce planning, and change initiatives

  • Serve as a trusted advisor, building strong relationships across all levels of the organization

  • Lead employee relations efforts including conflict resolution, investigations, and performance concerns

  • Provide coaching and guidance to leaders on feedback, accountability, and team dynamics

  • Ensure consistent, fair, and values-aligned people practices

  • Facilitate and evolve performance management processes (goal setting, reviews, development plans)

  • Support talent management and succession planning efforts

  • Partner with leaders to strengthen bench strength and internal mobility

  • Design and implement programs that enhance employee engagement, retention, and development

  • Partner closely with the Director of Equity & Innovation to embed inclusive practices across the employee lifecycle

  • Help operationalize Overture’s cultural beliefs and evolving workplace experience

  • Leverage HR data and analytics to identify trends and inform decision-making

  • Support optimization and utilization of Paylocity HRIS for reporting and insights

  • Partner with HR Operations to continuously improve processes and programs

  • Provide support on compensation and benefits programs

  • Collaborate on labor union-related matters

  • Contribute to ongoing HR transformation initiatives

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field

  • 5+ years of progressively more responsible HR experience, preferably in an HRBP capacity

  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices

  • Experience developing and implementing HR programs

  • Experience supporting organizational change or HR transformation

  • Familiarity with HRIS systems (Paylocity preferred) and HR analytics
