Senior Human Resources Business Partner
About the role
The Office of Human Resources (OHR) seeks a strategic, agile, client-oriented Senior HR Business Partner to join the team to primarily support our operational partners in the Department of Transportation and Infrastructure, and potentially other smaller agencies.
Responsibilities
- Coach and consult with senior leaders to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention
- Partner with the business to develop strategies and initiatives that promote a culture of equity and engagement
- Be the primary point of contact for HR programs, tools, metrics, and analytics impacting your organization
- Build collaborative partnerships with the Centers of Excellence including Talent Acquisition, Compensation and Classification, Learning and Development and Benefits to recommend and inform business solutions
- Research, develop, and execute HR solutions that deliver measurable business results
- Execute HR strategies, initiatives and practices that promote a strong performance culture emphasizing engagement, learning and development, talent management, and workforce planning
- Effectively manage employee relation issues and investigation
- Perform other related duties as assigned or requested
Requirements
We are looking for candidates that have all or some of the following skills and experience:
- At least 8 years working as an HR Professional for a complex organization
- At least 8 years of experience managing and investigating employee relations issues
- Experience working in an operational setting preferred
- Strong systemic and critical thinking skills
- Strong business acumen and Excel skills
- Strong ability to influence and persuade leaders into making the best business decisions
- Strong ability to build professional relationships with a variety of people, at all levels of the organization
- Experience providing and receiving feedback to/from leaders and employees
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field
- Experience: Five (5) years of professional human resources experience

Benefits
The City and County of Denver offers a competitive salary commensurate with education and experience. The salary range for this position is $95,000.00 - $110,000.00/year. We also offer generous benefits for full-time employees which includes but is not limited to:

Pay
The target pay range for this position is $95,000.00 - $110,000.00/year, based on experience and education.
Schedule
The City and County of Denver supports a hybrid workplace model. Employees work where needed, at a job site several days a week and off-site as needed. In this position you can expect to work three days per week at the Wellington Webb Municipal building in Downtown Denver. The OHR Talent Acquisition team works in office on Mondays and Thursdays. Employees can choose the third day in office that works best with their schedule. Employees must work within the state of Colorado on their off-site days.
