Senior Human Resources Advisor
About the role
The Senior HR Advisor supports and executes requests from Global HR Business Partners and leadership. They work closely with senior team members to ensure the completion of transactional activities and the successful implementation of change initiatives. This role works on ad-hoc projects throughout the year and reports to a Senior Human Resources Business Partner.
Responsibilities
- Support the local team in planning, coordinating, and executing annual HR programs and initiatives locally.
- Provide guidance and support on talent acquisition, onboarding, and performance management.
- Act as a trusted advisor on employee relations, conflict resolution, and workplace investigations.
- Partner with HR Centers of Excellence (COEs) such as Employee Relations, Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition to provide guidance and support to leaders and colleagues.
- Ensure compliance with HR policies, procedures, and employment laws.
- Handle day-to-day transactional duties, including submitting SMARTforms, leaver requests, and conducting exit interviews.
- Aid in planning and coordinating annual HR programs and other initiatives as directed by senior HR leaders.
- Act as an HR expert in myHR functionality and maintain a reliable methodology for report generation.
- Stay updated on recent COE developments, rollouts, and changes to inform and partner with your HRBP.
- Provide HR data and information to meet statutory, regulatory, and management information requirements.
- Support the US HR Management Team and designated HRBPs by preparing reports, analyzing data, producing trend analysis, and managing organizational charts to ensure all business changes are current.
Requirements
Variety of HR experience, ideally in a matrix environment, preferably in financial services or the insurance industry. Outstanding analytical skills with the ability to convert data into insightful presentations. Excellent proactive organization skills and the ability to plan and prioritize work. Highly customer-focused, maintaining a professional attitude at all times. Shows initiative in acting and responding appropriately. Effective communication skills with the ability to liaise at all levels. Understands and values the importance of discretion and confidentiality. Team player who interacts effectively with colleagues and clients. Highly responsive to changing demands. Accurate with exceptional attention to detail. Advanced skills in Word, Excel, MS Outlook, and PowerPoint. Experience with HR databases is advantageous.
