We are seeking a seasoned Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) professional to oversee safety for construction and installation projects across the UK. This role is largely remote, with travel primarily to sites in London and the South (around 80% of the time), occasional visits to Yorkshire headquarters, and two days working from home each week.
Responsibilities
- Conduct construction site-specific risk assessments, inspections, audits, and task analysis, then generate site-specific RAMS in line with company policies and procedures.
- Collaborate closely with site management to ensure the safe delivery and installation of products on-site.
- Ensure all working practices by employees and third-party contractors are safe and comply with current legislation through HSE advice and accurate documentation.
- Maintain up-to-date training, conduct toolbox talks, and arrange external training as needed.
- Record incidents and accidents to produce monthly statistical data for timely submission to relevant management.
- Produce management reports, including weekly and daily updates as required.
Requirements
- NEBOSH Construction Certificate (minimum).
- Experience in a regional HSE role, preferably in a similar customer-facing health and safety position.
- Professional, credible, and confident SHE professional who is visible on-site, approachable, and able to build trusted relationships.
- Able to work independently, get hands-on when needed, and enforce standards firmly but fairly.
- Tenacious and persistent in engaging with relevant teams on-site.
Pay
£50,000 to £60,000 per annum, plus car allowance and benefits package.
Schedule
- Full-time, largely remote role.
- Approximately 3 days per week traveling to sites (primarily London and the South).
- 2 days per week working from home.
- Occasional travel to Yorkshire headquarters.
