About the role
The Senior HSE Manager position at Rosendin is a senior-level role responsible for overseeing health, safety, and environmental practices across multiple project sites. Key responsibilities include monitoring team performance, developing future leaders, and ensuring compliance with company and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Maintains progress and performance of multiple teams and safety programs, taking corrective action as necessary.
- Plans and assigns work for team members.
- Identifies, teaches, and develops future leaders and wider safety members.
- Coaches and manages HSE professionals to build capability, strengthen talent pipelines, and address performance issues.
- Aligns corporate safety strategy with field execution across construction and operational sites.
- Affirms training needs and develops targeted programs for teams and project sites.
- Facilitates communication between corporate EHS leadership, field teams, and frontline stakeholders to ensure consistent program implementation.
- Promotes accountability across business and field leadership.
- Serves as a liaison with cross-functional teams to integrate safety into all phases of the data center lifecycle.
- Contributes to cross-company initiatives related to safety, including resiliency, business continuity, ESG, and workforce engagement.
- Provides proactive, strategic safety insights to senior leadership on emerging risks and incident trends.
- Participates in pre-construction meetings and develops site-specific safety plans.
- Maintains a high level of expertise in company HSE standards, programs, and goals.
- Champions HSE standards across projects to foster a safe and productive environment.
- Partners with EHS training teams as a subject matter expert to ensure technical and regulatory competency.
- Supports additional EHS initiatives as assigned.
- Manages multiple priorities while delivering high-quality support to internal stakeholders.
- Serves as a strategic contributor to the Health & Safety Program team, driving innovation and direction.
- Collaborates with global HSE and governance teams to develop proactive risk-reduction strategies.
Requirements
- 4-year related degree and 8 years related experience plus ASP certification or 11 years relevant experience and SMS.
- Ability to spend 80% of working time on active construction sites.
- Travel up to 25% as needed.
- Working conditions: general work environment – sitting for long periods, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, bending. Work is conducted primarily indoors with varying environmental conditions such as fluorescent lighting and air conditioning. Noise level is usually low to medium; it can be loud on the jobsite.
