Responsibilities
- Partner with facility management and at the direction of the regional human resources manager, position performs professional level HR work to develop, implement, and administer human resources policies, programs and procedures.
- Maintain a positive employee relations environment with the assigned facilities.
- Partner with facility leadership to achieve objectives.
- Provide Bunge regional and facility leaders with the full range of Human Resources services including, but not be limited to, policy and procedure implementation; collective bargaining agreement administration and interpretation, development of appropriate corrective action for violations of company policies and procedures and federal and state/provincial laws and regulations; and coaching, training and development of local management and facility personnel.
- Advise business leaders and HR management regarding appropriate staffing levels; local market, pay and hiring conditions; and strategic planning needs.
- Respond to grievances, mediations, arbitrations, litigation and other legal affairs affecting Bunge operations. Participate and/or lead local labor/management meetings.
- Engage in workforce planning, maintaining an awareness of workforce demographics, bench strength and operational requirements. Develop strategies to address workforce gaps and surpluses and proactively work to optimize talent.
- Enhance credibility by taking an active role in the business. Participate in business meetings, interact with employees at various events, travel to field locations, deliver on commitments and provide responses in a timely manner.
- Develop and implement strategies to address employee concerns and cultivate a positive work environment.
- Conduct investigations related to policy violations, misconduct, or other circumstances that may result in disciplinary action.
- Implement the full range of company employee performance management and development programs and initiatives.
- Conduct communication programs and initiatives as directed and assist with the implementation of productivity and efficiency programs.
- Provide direct or indirect coaching or management of local HR resources.
- May perform responsibilities related to plant operations, including but not limited to safety, property management, office administration and supervision of support functions.
- Supports HR activities for 200+ employees.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or related field (or equivalent of Bachelor's degree plus 5 years of related experience) strongly preferred
- 5 - 7 years of related human resources experience with prior experience in a manufacturing setting preferred
- Ability to maintain objectivity and discretion with confidential information
- Experience in a matrix reporting structure preferred
- Excellent verbal, written and listening communication skills
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Familiarity with payroll and HRIS systems
- Demonstrated ability to influence without authority
- Exceptional customer service and team building skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization
- Previous experience with ADA, FMLA, EEOC and AAP
- MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint proficiency
- Familiarity with ADP, HR and Payroll system a plus
- Self-starter with the ability to work within a team environment
Qualifications
- Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to work weekends and holidays as required
Benefits
The compensation range for this position is $89,380.00-$98,318.00. In addition to the regular compensation, this role is also eligible for an annual incentive bonus.
