Senior HR Specialist
Job Summary
In this role, you will be the liaison between employees and the company to provide excellent HR support. Help enforce company policies and practices while adhering to all state and federal laws related to employment and labor issues. Effectively handle and manage employee relations issues. Assist in the execution of policy and procedural improvements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provides HR support services for the business in an efficient, effective and timely manner.
- Consults with managers and supervisors regarding employee performance issues and assists with the disciplinary process by helping conduct employee termination discussions and mediating & assisting in solving employee performance and/or work issues.
- Understands business needs and develops, communicates, enforces and supports the company’s policies, practices, procedures and philosophies. Ensures consistency with regard to application of these rules and regulations.
- Buils and maintains effective working relationships with partners, suppliers, service vendors, employees and internal and external customers.
- Coodinates and assist with company & community events and activities.
- Manages HR paperwork and systems including new hires, transfers, attendance tracking, pay, badging, termination, filing, postings and announcements.
- Evaluates the effectiveness of current HR programs, recommends changes and implements best practices in personnel policies and procedures.
- Performs duties related to the compensation, benefits, and HRIS departments.
- Executes the recruiting process for assigned requisitions, including managing recruitment software, interviewing candidates, working with managers to fill positions, and assisting with new hire orientation, trainings & onboarding.
- Generates and distributes various reports at regular intervals to partner firms assisting with the administration of HR processes.
- Reviews and audits the accuracy of insurance records, invoices and personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, and terminations.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education
A Bachelor's Degree preferably in human resource management, legal or related field required.
Work Experience
5+ years of HR employee relations specialized experience required.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Familiarity with workplace laws, regulations, employment trends, strong understanding of labor law, collective agreements, unions and works councils.
- Work effectively under pressure whilst not compromising professional standards.
- Can work both independently and as part of a team.
- Objective, approachable and able to interact effectively with all levels of employees both in person and virtually in a positive and respectful manner.
- Strong communication both written and oral.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive issues and handling sensitive confidential data to meet data privacy compliance requirements.
- Experience with cases management system to record accurate and timely case updates for management information purposes.
- Producing high quality documentation including reports, letters, meeting notes, etc.
- Work with minimum of supervision.
- Ability to respond internal employee hotline and workflow concerns in partnership with the ERM and local HR leadership.
- Experience with HR business systems (i.e. Ultimate, SuccessFactors, SAP HCM) and MS Office applications.
- Working knowledge of worker’s compensation, ADA and unemployment regulations and reporting, ISO9000, FDA and cGMP requirements.
- Prior pharmaceutical and manufacturing experience in an industrial setting.
- Able to be aware of all relevant SOPs as per Company policy as they are related to the position covered by this Job Description.

Licenses and Certifications
Human Resources\SHRM-SCP preferred.
