Responsibilities
- Serve as a point-of-contact for employees and management to communicate HR policies, procedures, laws, standards, and government regulations.
- Audit time and attendance records and submit them to payroll on a weekly basis.
- Maintain accurate records of personnel activities, including hires, promotions, disciplinary actions, performance reviews, and terminations; partner with EHS on work-related incidents.
- Ensure all personal data is treated as strictly confidential and inaccessible to others.
- Prepare employee termination forms and related documentation; assist HR Manager or Hiring Managers in executing approved terminations.
- Schedule and conduct new employee orientations.
- Respond timely and accurately to HR inquiries.
- Assist Corporate HR in implementing and initiating new or changing HR policies, procedures, or programs at the plant level.
- Organize, support, or execute exit processes and exit interviews.
- Drive employee survey actions and provide professional expertise for supervisors in creating and executing action plans.
- Support HR Manager in issuing HR-related communications in a timely and appropriate manner.
- Track and report on HR measurables, Balanced Scorecards, and Key Performance Indicators aligned with internal targets.
- Maintain and update all HR-related data in reporting and tracking systems to reflect the actual status of the organization.
- Identify gaps in employee performance and their causes with direct supervisors, and implement improvement solutions, including scheduling and delivering effective training.
- Steer, supervise, and execute personnel development processes and training measures.
- Facilitate and drive performance management, talent management, and succession planning.
- Serve as the designated proxy for the HR Manager, providing leadership and support for HR operations during periods of absence.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in an HR Generalist role within an automotive manufacturing plant.
