About the role
Rohde & Schwarz is expanding its government business units due to recent successes in federal program awards. This growth necessitates a Senior Human Resources Generalist to support the nurturing and enhancement of human capital through strategic programs, policies, and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with HR colleagues in HR Operations, Learning & Development, and Recruiting to identify and implement high impact projects.
- Provide guidance to leadership on emerging trends, compliance requirements, and initiatives to enhance employee engagement.
- Support onboarding by creating, coordinating, and maintaining onboarding materials and processes.
- Aid in workforce planning, staffing needs, and hiring activities.
- Develop and maintain a job skills matrix for all position categories, outlining required skills, competencies, and qualifications.
- Create, update, and maintain job descriptions and professional, consistent job postings.
- Evaluate organizational training needs and assess the effectiveness and utilization of learning resources.
- Maintain compliance with organizational, federal, state, and local regulations; proactively identify and mitigate risks.
- Support onboarding, offboarding, and full employee lifecycle processes.
- Oversee travel risk management processes and support related compliance and safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or 3+ years of Human Resources experience.
- HR certifications (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) are a plus.
- Deep knowledge of employment laws and government compliance regulations.
- Experience supporting Federal Government Programs.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Experience with HRIS (ADP preferred), SAP, and Deltek.
- Experience running reports in ADP.
- Excellent communication, influencing, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Proven ability to work independently and in teams.
- Detailed and process-oriented.
- Multi-tasking ability.
Benefits
The total compensation for this position is $71K-$95K. It includes base salary, variable pay (when applicable), and benefits. The range is determined by the position, geographic location, and level. Individual pay within the range is determined by several factors including location, education or training, relevant work history, sales incentive structure, and job-related skills.

Minimum of 3 days per week, specifically Tues-Thursday.
