About the role
The Senior HR Generalist supports the North American Compression Systems & Services HR team in Davidson, NC. They partner with the Sr. HR Manager to execute strategic HR initiatives and deliver day-to-day HR support. This role serves as a key resource for salaried employees, as well as leadership, focusing on improving work relationships, building positive engagement, and increasing productivity and retention.
Responsibilities
- Works closely with leadership, HR Business Partners, and employees to improve work relationships, build positive engagement, and increase productivity and retention
- Creates positive change through coaching, counseling, and influencing skills
- Maintains Success Factors Human Resources Information System employee database and files
- Communicates and trains on HR plans, processes, programs, and policies aligned with business objectives, including organizational design, succession planning, talent management/acquisition, goal alignment/performance management, employee engagement and communications
- Collaborates with local HR business partners to share best practices, critical needs issues, and local site and sector initiatives
- Assists employees with benefits issues, annual open enrollment process, wellness on-site annual screenings
- Manages onboarding process, including pre-employment testing, new hire paperwork, orientation, and HRIS entry
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- 4+ years’ experience in Human Resources
- Core Competencies: Experience in industrial manufacturing industry, interpersonal, communication, and relationship building skills, excellent problem solving, conflict resolution, and decision making skills, detail oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills, ability to leverage HR metrics to support strategic initiatives, proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously in a fast paced environment, up to date knowledge of employment legislation and HR compliance practices
Preferences
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field
- SHRM-CP or SCP certification
- SAP SuccessFactors experience
