Senior HR Data & Reporting Analyst

Position Summary
The Senior HR Data & Reporting Analyst is responsible for gathering, structuring, analyzing, and reporting on HR data to support business and leadership decision-making. This role will develop complex reports, dashboards, data models, and analytics solutions across multiple HR systems while ensuring data accuracy, security, and alignment with data governance standards.
Responsibilities
- Gather, structure, analyze, and present HR data from multiple systems in a secure and usable format.
- Build complex, accurate reports to support data research, troubleshooting, audits, and business needs.
- Design, develop, and maintain HR reports and dashboards for leadership and business stakeholders.
- Support recurring reporting needs and ensure timely distribution through secure delivery methods.
- Partner with HR, technical teams, and business leaders to define reporting requirements and specifications.
- Identify data gaps, troubleshoot complex data issues, and recommend solutions.
- Monitor key metrics and provide insights when additional analysis is needed.
- Develop and maintain HR data models that align with business requirements and data governance policies.
- Evaluate existing data structures and recommend improvements for performance, scalability, and accuracy.
- Support data audits and ensure data quality, integrity, and compliance with privacy standards.
- Identify opportunities to enhance analytics capabilities, automate reporting, and improve processes.
- Use HR systems and analytics tools to create interactive reports, dashboards, and data visualizations.
- Lead reporting-related projects, prioritize work requests, and collaborate with business partners on delivery.
- Mentor junior team members and provide guidance on reporting best practices.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Analytics, Human Resources, or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience in data analysis, reporting, business analysis, research, or a related role.
- Experience working with HR, Payroll, or workforce data preferred.
- Workday report writing experience required.
- PRISM Analytics experience preferred.
Skills
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills.
- Advanced experience developing reports, dashboards, and data models.
- Experience with Power BI, Excel, Workday reporting, and/or HRIS reporting tools.
- Strong Excel skills; Google Workspace experience is a plus.
- General understanding of HR and payroll practices.
- Ability to handle confidential information, including PII, with sound judgment and discretion.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
- Ability to troubleshoot data discrepancies and complex reporting issues.
- Strong organizational, planning, and project management skills.
- Ability to balance day-to-day reporting needs with larger enhancement initiatives.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with HR, technical teams, and leadership.
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
