Senior HR Business Partner

About the role

The Senior Human Resources Business Partner serves as a strategic partner to leaders across manufacturing and corporate functions, providing expertise in employee relations, performance management, organizational effectiveness, workforce planning, and leadership development. This role helps drive business results through people-focused solutions while ensuring compliance with employment laws and company policies.

Responsibilities

• Lead full spectrum of employee relations matters, investigations, and conflict resolution efforts.
• Coach managers and supervisors on employee performance, accountability, communication, and corrective action.
• Provide guidance regarding disciplinary actions, employee concerns, and policy interpretation.
• Partner with leaders to proactively identify and address workforce challenges.
• Identify trends related to turnover, absenteeism, employee relations, performance, and engagement.
• Recommend solutions that improve workforce stability and organizational effectiveness.
• Facilitate talent review, succession planning, and workforce planning discussions.
• Support organizational change initiatives and department restructuring efforts.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, Canadian provincial, and local employment regulations.
• Partner on ADA, accommodation, FMLA, PWFA, and other employment-related matters.
• Provide input to HR Executive leader on complex employee situations and associated legal risk.
• Serve as HR Business Partner for various business leaders and departments.
• Partner with leadership to align workforce strategies with business objectives.
• Support development of employee engagement and retention initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field and 7+ years of progressive experience.
• Strong employee relations and investigation experience.
• Experience supporting manufacturing and corporate populations.
• Demonstrated experience coaching managers and influencing business decisions.

Working Environment

Standard working conditions include a temperature-controlled office and manufacturing environment. This position does not now or in the future provide immigration sponsorship. This position is subject to a background check.

Physical Demands

Frequent sitting, wrist manipulation, walking, and standing. Frequent sedentary work with lifting up to 10 pounds. Occasional medium work with lifting up to 50 pounds. Manual dexterity to type and operate office equipment frequently. Must be able to complete all physical requirements to perform the essential functions.
