Provides strategic support in planning, organizing and administering human resource programs and initiatives in support of business goals. Collaborates with and provides guidance and direction to management and employees on Human Resources issues, activities, policies, programs and processes under the direction of the Human Resources Manager.
Responsibilities
- Ability to partner and influence the organization at multiple leadership levels and act as a resource for employees.
- Responsible for driving activities associated with organizational effectiveness, talent management, employee relations, rewards planning, communications and data analysis.
- Engages and utilizes HR centers of expertise to obtain consultative support on common tools, systems, and processes.
- Aligns HR solutions with business strategies, structures and challenges.
- Influence leaders by rejecting status quo, finding customized solutions and driving implementation and communication plans.
- Develop, coach and support leadership and management capability to inspire employee growth and learning.
- Plans and facilitates talent reviews and engages with leadership in the development of associated action plans.
- Partner with management and Labor Relations, where applicable, regarding recommendations and actions that support the accomplishment and the maintenance of a nondiscriminatory workplace.
- Proactively initiates and participates in continuous improvement planning and implementation activities within scope of responsibility.
- Exercises discretion on complex problems by providing recommendations and assisting in the development and implementation of human resource policies and procedures to meet organizational needs and comply with state and federal law.
- Represents the company in hearings, which may include unemployment cases, grievances and arbitrations, involving employees.
- Collaborates and partners with other HR team members on assigned projects with limited guidance.
- Monitors and provides support to the business during annual processes such as performance reviews and compensation planning, including base pay adjustments and reward planning.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required from an accredited college or university.
- Requires a minimum of five years of employee relations experience in employee dispute resolution, investigations, implementation of human resources initiatives and two or more of the following areas:
- Talent Identification and Development
- Strategic Workforce Planning
- Leadership Coaching and Consulting
- Diversity & Inclusion Compliance and Planning
