Responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted advisor to leaders on employee relations, performance management, organizational development, workforce planning, and HR best practices.
- Partner with assigned business groups to develop and implement people strategies that support business objectives, colleague engagement, retention, and organizational growth.
- Manage complex employee relations matters, conduct investigations, and provide guidance on policy interpretation, employment practices, and compliance-related issues.
- Coach and counsel leaders on colleague matters while partnering with HR leadership and Legal, as appropriate.
- Support and implement HR programs and initiatives including onboarding, offboarding, performance management, compensation administration, engagement surveys, training, and recognition programs.
- Analyze workforce trends and identify opportunities to improve organizational effectiveness, culture, productivity, and retention.
- Support organizational change, workforce planning, and the integration of newly acquired businesses.
- Partner across the HR team to ensure consistent practices and a strong colleague experience across assigned business groups.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience, including experience serving as an HR Business Partner or in a comparable HR role.
- Strong experience with employee relations, workplace investigations, performance management, HR compliance, employment law, and leader coaching.
- Demonstrated ability to advise, influence, and coach leaders at multiple levels of an organization.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to balance colleague needs, risk, and business priorities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong relationship-building capabilities.
- Able to manage confidential and sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced, highly collaborative, and growth-oriented environment.
- Must reside within the Central Time Zone.
- Able to travel domestically up to 15% based on business needs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, Communications, Sociology, or a related field.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business, or a related field.
- SPHR, PHR, SHRM-SCP, SHRM-CP, or similar professional certification.
- Experience supporting multi-state or multi-location organizations.
- Experience integrating newly acquired businesses and supporting organizational change initiatives.
- Experience within insurance, financial services, or professional services.
- Familiarity with organizational design, workforce planning, and talent management strategies.
Pay
Salary Range - $115,000- $130,000 annually, depending on experience.
