Senior Health Information Management Specialist

Summary

Senior HIM Specialist, under the supervision of the HIM Operations Manager, performs all activities involved in the preparation of medical records for the document imaging and management process and/or ensuring good image quality as well as verification and validation of all patient encounters for COA.

Schedule

• Full-time, Day Shift
• 8:00am – 4:30pm
• Monday–Friday

Education

• Associate or Bachelor of Science degree preferred in Health Information Management
• RHIA or RHIT preferred
• High school diploma or GED equivalent required
• Equivalent qualifications:
  • Registered Health Information Administrator
  • Registered Health Information Technician

Experience

• 3 years of progressively responsible experience in a Health Information Management Department
• Equivalent qualification: 2 years at Staff Level

Licensures and Certifications

• RHIA/RHIT credentialed preferred
