Senior Health and Social Care Support Worker
About the role
The post holder will work effectively supporting care as appropriate to promote optimum achievable self-care allowing clients to remain in their own homes. There is a goal within Lochaber to expand the service to include reablement/rehabilitation to allow patients to avoid acute hospital admission / return home from hospital sooner and remain living in their own homes.
Responsibilities
- Adhere to NHS Highland policies and procedures and all relevant local and national standards
- Strictly adhere to NHS Highland policies on confidentiality
- Show willingness and interest in continuing professional development
- Undertake relevant activities to meet training objectives identified through supervision
- Essential completion of SVQ health and social care level 3 to be registered with the SSSC
- Work within a rota system and include flexible, unsociable hours and weekend working
- Work throughout the Lochaber region with flexibility
- Current UK driving licence and use of own car for work purposes are essential
