Senior Health and Social Care Support Worker

About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the West Caithness Health and Social Care Team, based at William Smith House, Thurso. We are looking for motivated and enthusiastic individuals to join a multidisciplinary team, working with patients in their own homes to provide holistic care. Your primary responsibility will be to provide support and assistance to service users to maximise and maintain their independence.

Responsibilities

• Provide high standards of patient care in support of the team to ensure delivery of a high-quality service to the local community.
• Be flexible and able to use your own initiative.

Requirements

• A driving licence is essential, and applicants should have access to their own vehicle for work purposes (a pool vehicle is available for rural areas).
• Experience is not required, though it is beneficial.

Qualifications

Full training will be provided, and the applicant will have the opportunity to complete an SVQ in Health & Social Care. Further career progression is possible.

Schedule

• Permanent part-time post of 20.16 hours per week.
• Core hours: 08:30 – 14:30 or as per service requirements.
• Additional hours available through the integrated staff bank.

Pay

Enhancements paid for unsociable hours and weekend work.

This role does not meet the eligibility criteria for a Skilled Worker visa or a Health and Care Worker visa. NHS Highland is unable to provide candidates with a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS).
