About the Role
NVIDIA is seeking a Senior Hardware Product Quality Manager (PQM) to support datacenter hardware quality initiatives in Santa Clara, California. This individual contributor role involves collaborating with customer-facing teams, developing technical expertise in NVIDIA’s products, and driving issue resolution across internal teams.
Responsibilities
- Participate in weekly/monthly conference calls and F2F meetings related to quality.
- Track key quality metrics and report regularly to the quality engineering team and internal management.
- Use statistical methods to analyze quality and reliability data, identify trends, and develop projections for risk assessment and corrective actions.
- In crisis situations, quickly assimilate technical details to understand critical issues, provide direction to engineering teams, and formulate responses to customers.
- Craft customer presentations covering root cause analysis, risk assessments, corrective actions, preventative actions, and recovery plans.
- Write and review 8D reports for customer consumption.
- Serve as an issue manager for critical incidents, coordinating across multiple engineering teams to ensure timely resolution and operational continuity.
- Drive problem resolution internally by providing leadership and direction.
- Identify opportunities to accelerate PQM workflows with AI and guide the integration of AI-enabled tools into quality management processes.
Requirements
- BS or MS degree in electrical engineering, quality, or related technical field (or equivalent experience).
- 8+ years of experience in an electronics customer quality role.
- Customer interface experience is critical.
- Ability to quickly comprehend technical details relevant to customer complaints.
- Proficiency with 8D problem-solving tools and methods.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong social skills, logical problem-solving approach, and effective time management.
- Strong organizational and program management skills, with experience coordinating across multiple teams.
- Proficiency with MS Office, data analytical tools, and email communications.
Qualifications
- Background in semiconductor manufacturing processes (Si fab, package assembly, final test) is a plus.
- Knowledge of SMT and PCBA manufacturing practices and controls.
- Familiarity with electronics reliability standards at the component, board, or system level.
- Experience with server system hardware, design, development, architecture, failure analysis, or testing.
- Experience working closely with customer quality teams and using structured problem-solving methods.
Pay
The base salary range is 168,000 USD - 258,750 USD for Level 4 and 200,000 USD - 322,000 USD for Level 5, determined by location, experience, and internal pay equity. Eligible for equity and benefits.
