About the role

AWS’ Network Products Development team seeks experienced hardware engineering professionals to contribute to the design and development of our next generation Ethernet switching platforms for our world-class datacenters. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in modular chassis based enterprise/carrier products.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop high-speed digital circuits and embedded CPU subsystems
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical engineers, HW engineers, SI engineers, diagnostic engineers, and manufacturing engineers
  • Interface with Asian ODM and JDM partners in development and manufacturing
  • Define and implement modular chassis functions such as system redundancy, hot-swap, power distribution, environmental control, and system management
  • Experience with analog design, signal integrity analysis, DC-DC switcher design, EDVT, and MDVT is an asset

Requirements

  • Experience in developing functional specifications, design verification plans, and functional test procedures
  • BSEE with 10+ years experience in hardware board and systems development, including taking products from concept to mass production
  • Recent 5+ years experience with Ethernet switching fabrics, Ethernet PHY and SerDes interfaces, embedded CPU subsystems, DDR2/DDR3/DDR4 memory design, network processors, I2C, USB
  • Experience with high-speed PCB design and AC/DC PI, 5+ years of experience in CPLD/FPGA design using VHDL or Verilog
  • Experience troubleshooting with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and specialized test equipment such as PCI analyzers and in-circuit emulators

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent
  • Experience working with interdisciplinary teams to execute product design from concept to production
  • Experience with the project management of technical projects
  • Experience defining and implementing modular chassis functions such as system redundancy, hot-swap, power distribution, environmental control and system management
  • CPLD/FPGA experience in the areas of advanced HW control/monitoring/logging
  • Experience in specifying mechanical enclosures

Skills

Strong experience in modular chassis based enterprise/carrier products is a must. Must have previous experience working with Asian ODM and JDM partners, both in development and in manufacturing.

Pay

Base salary range: $183,000.00 - $247,600.00 USD annually
