About the role

The Senior Group Risk Specialist for Consumer Bank will provide comprehensive and diverse risk management expertise to business leaders. They will lead and support the implementation of appropriate risk frameworks and leading related risk management activities to mitigate enterprise and/or business-wide risk exposures for Digital.

Responsibilities

  • Provide independent risk oversight and challenge for digital banking products, platforms, channels, and customer journeys, including mobile, online banking, and emerging payment rails.
  • Analyze potential risks and ensure escalation of key risks to appropriate areas and/or executive review with business executive findings and action plans to mitigate and manage these risks.
  • Develop and implement specific standards, policies, and processes that identify, report on, and mitigate operational (or all major) risk exposures within the business.
  • Manage ancillary operational risk areas such as BCM/incident management, outsourcing/vendor management, fraud aggregation and assessment, Basel implementation/capital analysis, change management, Privacy, AML, LCM and other regulatory issues.
  • Monitor service, productivity, and assess efficiency levels within own function and implement continuous process/performance improvements where opportunities exist.
  • Lead/facilitate and/or implement actions/remediation plans to address performance/risk/governance issues.
  • Develop and monitor Key Risk Indicators and facilitate communication and resolution of risk issues among other business segments where applicable.
  • Provide broad/deep commentary in support of the development/maintenance/oversight of policies/procedures/practices, as required.

Requirements

This Senior Group Risk Specialist must have strong Digital risk and/or Digital business experience and an ability to effectively engage and influence the business and other key stakeholders. In addition to experience, this candidate must be a self-starter who can effectively work in a fast-paced environment that requires delivery of key work efforts with sometimes tight timelines as well as an ability to make decisions and proactively identify and address risk-related matters within Digital.

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree or technical certificate and/or 10+ years relevant experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of risk management governance, programs, policies, practices, operating frameworks & reporting for business supported and/or area of discipline to deliver objective guidance and independent challenge on initiatives.
  • Knowledge of risk management environment, standards, regulations and mitigation.
  • Ability to contribute to strategic direction of the function and provide advice to senior leadership.
  • Ability to mentor and coach.
  • Advanced ability to lead, plan, implement, and evaluate program/project activities to ensure completion of initiatives.
  • Ability to make an impact, influence, and achieve results with effective negotiation, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and build relationships across teams and functions.
  • Ability to work successfully as a member of a team and independently.

Pay

$115,440 - $186,160 USD
