Senior Grief and Clinical Services Specialist

About the role

The Highmark Caring Place is a mission-driven organization dedicated to providing grief support services. We seek an Outreach and Education Coordinator to spread awareness and engage diverse groups in our life-changing work.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement facility-based peer support sessions for grieving children and their families.
• Plan and implement specialized programs to raise awareness and provide additional support.
• Plan and implement or support a comprehensive volunteer program.
• Plan and implement or support an ongoing outreach and education strategy.
• Conduct thorough assessments to determine family’s level of appropriateness for the Caring Place program and/or need for other community services.
• Other duties as assigned or requested.

Requirements

• Master's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Child Development, or related field.
• 3 years working with children in a mental health setting.
• Experience with therapy/support groups.
• Experience with grieving children and/or families.
• Public speaking and/or training knowledge.
• Knowledge of local mental health and social service agencies.

Qualifications

• Preferred: Driver's License.

Skills

• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
