Senior Graphic Designer

About the role

Terra’s Creative team is a small, agile group that solves diverse creative problems for our clients. We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Senior Graphic Designer who brings an open mind to every project, is excited to learn new tools and processes, and works well with others. As a key member of our growing Creative team, you will work to support our mission of bringing our clients’ brand narratives to life through graphic design, visual branding, and custom storytelling formats.

Responsibilities

• Translate client briefs, brand guidelines, and project scopes into thoughtful and compelling design solutions.
• Study and understand scope of work documents, project timelines, call sheets, design briefs, and project requirements.
• Continually seek ways to elevate client work and exceed client expectations.
• Conduct design research and analysis.
• Design a range of deliverables including social media graphics, digital ads, videos, presentations, white papers, and event collateral.
• Contribute to the visual strategy and execution of branding projects, including logo design, style guides, mood boards, and graphic systems.
• Collaborate with project leads, strategists, and other designers to deliver polished, on-brand creative assets.
• Collaborate with UX/UI and Web Development teams on brand handoff, web design assets, etc.
• Collaborate with Motion design teams to develop on-brand storyboards for video development.
• Participate in and guide internal reviews and client presentations; articulate rationale behind your design choices.
• Provide informal mentorship and creative feedback to junior designers as needed.
• Stay current on design trends and proactively share inspiration, tools, and process improvements with the team.
• Ensure consistency, quality, and attention to detail across all deliverables.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in a graphic design role, ideally at an agency or in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
• Skilled in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, and have some knowledge of motion design tools like After Effects or Premiere Pro.
• Skilled with Figma and can work collaboratively with teammates within the program.
• Experience working with website and design components within Figma is an added benefit for this position.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and have a strong sense of typography, color, layout, and composition.
• Proactive and confident presenting your design decisions to internal stakeholders.
• Thrive in a collaborative team setting, love giving and receiving feedback, and are always looking to elevate the work.
• Can manage your own projects independently but also know when to loop in leads or cross-functional teammates.
• Curious, adaptable, and energized by new tools, client industries, and creative challenges.

$90,000 - $100,000 a year
