Summary
Responsible for activities in marketing products and designing promotional material.Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Affords assistance in executing marketing strategies, objectives, and branding.
- Provides leadership, guidance, and mentorship to junior designers.
- Reviews work and provides feedback to ensure quality, accuracy, and brand alignment.
- Collaborates with designers to define project tasks, distribute workloads fairly, and ensure timely completion.
- Responsible for layout and design of promotional material.
- Maintains price books to ensure information is accurate and up to date.
- Creates and updates images, video footage, or new layouts for various materials such as brochures, displays, websites, posters, decals, direct mail, advertising, press releases, and catalogs.
- Coordinates and executes photo shoots, including climbing ladders, kneeling, bending, crawling, and stooping.
- Collaborates with internal teams to ensure accurate color and high-quality output on in-house marketing printers.
- Optimizes designs for cost-effective production while maintaining quality.
- Designs and assists with development of product packaging, merchandising displays, and other point of purchase materials.
- Assists with tradeshow booth layout and design, creating signage and display materials.
- Oversees final ad appearance to ensure high quality.
- Continually evaluates the ever-changing marketing and social media landscape, bringing new platforms and innovative ideas to the internal team.
- Assists technical publications writer with design of instructional materials, images, and videos.
- Maintains images on ACI and other company websites.
- Supports and troubleshoots hot folder workflows and other print production processes.
- Implements improvements.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 10+ years of professional graphic design experience.
- Associates degree (B. A.) from a two-year college or university, preferably in Graphic Design and/or Communications, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite design software, particularly InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator; Adobe Premier and After Effects video editing software; Microsoft Office Suite; Internet software; Spreadsheet software, and Word Processing software.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
- Ability to observe safety and security procedures; determine appropriate action beyond guidelines; report potentially unsafe conditions; use equipment and materials properly.
