About the Role

Arctiq is seeking a Senior Google SecOps Engineer with extensive experience in IT security and a passion for continuous learning. In this role, you will work closely with clients and managed services teams to implement, manage, and improve Google SecOps environments. You will ensure successful project execution, alignment with business objectives, and enhancement of business processes related to Google SecOps. This position also involves maintaining business documentation and acting as an escalation point for both customers and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead SecOps project delivery by defining, maintaining, and communicating systems requirements, solution approach & design, standards, and standardized methodologies across the enterprise.
• Architect and design SecOps ingestion and integration architectures.
• Develop and assist with creating requirements, identifying gaps, and translating business requirements into technical solutions.
• Identify opportunities for efficiencies and automation.
• Track work and provide appropriate reporting.
• Act as an escalation point for customers and internal teams.
• Participate in the identification and analysis of use case implementations.
• Assist and lead cybersecurity initiatives as required.
• Accomplish organization goals by accepting ownership for new and different requests; explore opportunities to add value to job outcomes.
• Process tickets; respond to and resolve platform issues for customers, as assigned.
• Stay updated on the latest security threats.
• Travel may be required.

Requirements

• Maintain courteous and professional conduct while performing the services.
• Strong background in IT and IT security.
• Experience deploying and managing Google SecOps environments.
• Solid foundational understanding of networking principles, security best practices, and systems administration.

Qualifications

• 5 or more years of experience in security.
• Compelling written and verbal communicator.
• Experience with Python or other scripting languages.
• Experience writing YARA-L rules or similar types of queries.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills.
• Strong critical thinking and technical diagnostic abilities.
• Ability to work in project teams and complete individual tasks in a timely manner.
• A sense of personal accountability.
• Experience with event/meeting coordination.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Demonstrated experience working in Information Security domains, with an understanding of an information security program, organization, requirements, deliverables, processes, tools, and mindset.
