About the role
The Senior DevSecOps Engineer will play a crucial role in developing and deploying secure, resilient, and scalable software delivery pipelines for military aircraft platforms. This role requires a deep understanding of software development and integration, as well as expertise in secure DevSecOps practices.
Responsibilities
- Develop, integrate, and test software products using advanced technical principles and concepts.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, security, and IT to ensure seamless project execution.
- Work independently and in a team environment to solve complex technical challenges.
- Ensure secure DevSecOps pipelines for safety-critical, air-gapped environments.
- Manage containerization and Kubernetes deployments on-premises and in disconnected operations.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using tools like Ansible, Terraform, and Helm.
- Work with Linux distributions such as RHEL, Yocto, and Buildroot.
- Utilize version control systems like Bitbucket and GitLab.
- Communicate and document complex technical designs effectively.
- Travel up to 10% as needed for project requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline
- 5+ years of DevSecOps experience
- Python and YAML experience
- Experience with secure DevSecOps pipelines for safety-critical, air-gapped environments
- Containerization and Kubernetes (on-prem, disconnected operations)
- Build environment tools (make, CMake)
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC) experience (Ansible, Terraform, Helm)
- Linux (RHEL, Yocto, Buildroot)
- Experience with Bitbucket and GitLab
- Experience working in a collaborative and team-based environment
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Ability to communicate and present complex technical designs
Qualifications
- Active Secret clearance
Skills
- Atlassian Tools proficiency (Confluence, JIRA, Bitbucket, etc.)
- Ansible CI/CD integration with certification artifacts
- Familiarity with secure networking and zero-trust architectures
- Embedded and Real-Time Systems enablement (RTOS, flight software)
- Experience with DO-178 A-C
