Senior Go Developer (web3)

About the role

We are seeking experienced Go developers to join our web3 platform team working for our Canadian customer Horizon Blockchain Games, a startup that raised $40 million in 2022. You will join Sequence platform team. Sequence is a leading development platform for web3 games, trusted by Google Cloud and many game developer studios. Think of it as AWS for blockchain. Sequence provides embeddable web3 wallets, highly available Ethereum nodes serving tens of thousands of requests per minute, blockchain indexers processing TB of data, and also NFT marketplaces.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain high-quality, scalable, and secure backend services using Go, PostgreSQL, Docker, Kubernetes, and other relevant technologies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including designers, product managers, and other engineers to deliver robust and efficient web3 solutions.
• Write clean, readable, and maintainable code that adheres to best practices and design patterns.
• Contribute to open-source projects and participate in community activities.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in web3, blockchain, and backend development.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in Go, backend development, PostgreSQL, Git version control, and Linux.
• Experience with blockchain technology and Ethereum.
• Strong understanding of REST API, gRPC/WebRPC, event queue, and pub/sub.
• Proficiency in Docker, Kubernetes, and Grafana.
• Experience with Open-Source projects such as webrpc, go-chi, goose, and ethkit.

Qualifications

• BS/MS degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
