About the role

Come join the best web development team in the region as our newest Senior Web Developer!

You will help Vital maintain existing websites as well as build new ones using the latest in JavaScript, CSS, and HTML technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Help maintain and build websites using the latest in JavaScript, CSS, and HTML technologies.
  • Collaborate with project managers and designers to ensure each project meets usability and accessibility web standards and best practices.
  • Multitask and prioritize, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Work with several front and back-end programming languages and tools, including PHP, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
  • Ensure responsiveness, adaptability, and mobile-first design.
  • Ensure cross-browser compatibility and web standards are met.
  • Work on SEO principles and ensure applications adhere to them.
  • Experience with SOAP and/or REST APIs is a plus.

Requirements

  • Passionate about building responsive, adaptive, mobile-first websites.
  • Highly collaborative in a team-oriented environment.
  • Able to multitask and prioritize, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience with several front and back-end programming languages and tools, including PHP, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
  • Strong understanding of responsive web development, cross-browser compatibility, and web standards.
  • Not afraid to work hard, be humble, ask questions, and learn new things.
  • Experience with PHP and WordPress or Drupal is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Git version control is a plus.
  • Experience using workflow automation tools such as Grunt or Gulp is a plus.
  • Good understanding of SEO principles and ensuring applications adhere to them is a plus.
  • Experience working with SOAP and/or REST APIs is a plus.

Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in web development.
  • Proficiency in PHP, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
  • Experience with WordPress or Drupal.
  • Experience with ecommerce platforms.
  • Experience with Git version control.
  • Experience with workflow automation tools such as Grunt or Gulp.
  • Understanding of SEO principles and ensuring applications adhere to them.
  • Experience working with SOAP and/or REST APIs.

Pay

$80k - $110k+

Schedule

Fluid workday hours (we just ask that you find time for 8 hours of work). Freedom to choose a hybrid WFH and/or in-office schedule.
