About the role
This role will lead collaborative efforts with key leaders across the Industrial BU to develop a unit-based forecast used to drive capacity optimization and materials planning efforts. Working with key stakeholders in all parts of the division will be critical and will provide exposure into all facets of the organization, including traveling to and working with site leadership to further mature existing processes. This position will work with the commercial and product teams to implement forecasting methodologies, understand market trends, plan for new product introductions, and determine anticipated demand across product lines and manufacturing locations. The role will be instrumental in the development and implementation of new tools to help streamline existing SIOP efforts and further drive maturity of the Industrial SIOP process.
Responsibilities
- Lead the monthly product group demand forecasting process; analyze statistical data, recommend solutions, and conduct weekly and monthly demand forecast maintenance in IBP (system used to support SIOP process).
- Work directly with global key stakeholders to continue to push SIOP process maturity for both Demand and Supply planning.
- Analyze trends, maintain and report on forecast accuracy KPIs.
- Drive urgency and escalate foreseen risks that may cause a disruption to the forecast.
- Escalate projected risks based on bookings outlook, including risks to bookings budget and potential risk to plant supply plans.
- Monitor and report on important changes in sales forecasts compared to financial plan.
- Facilitate and support Demand Consensus meetings (sales, product management, etc.).
- Support introduction of new collaborative tools to improve IBP/SIOP process efficiency.
- Lead development and implementation of new tools and processes to streamline existing SIOP process.
