Senior GIS Applications Specialist

Job Duties

• Develop and support GIS-based data collection applications, including feature classes, related tables, map services, and web mapping applications.
• Develop and maintain enterprise GIS components, including feature classes, web mapping applications, and metadata.
• Provide direct support for CADD/GIS software and hardware systems.
• Perform software testing, troubleshooting, and routine system maintenance.
• Create dashboards using business intelligence and geospatial analytics tools.
• Afford direct support for phone and online problem reporting and maintain problem report records.
• Maintain data backups and archives and perform data retrieval as needed.
• Monitor system status and data integrity.
• Develop and support Python scripts.
• Support data governance project activities as assigned.
• Develop data models and Technical Requirements Specifications to support application development.
• Create and update technical manuals and user guides based on business needs.
• Collaborate with supporting resources across business and functional lines.
• Translate business needs into GIS system solutions.

Job Requirements

• 4-year college degree or equivalent technical study.
• 5+ years of ArcGIS for Desktop experience.
• 3+ years of experience editing and maintaining data in a GIS environment.
• 1+ year of Python or similar scripting experience; ArcPy knowledge is a plus.
• Microsoft Power BI experience is highly desired.
• ArcGIS Field Maps experience is highly desired.
• ArcServer experience is highly desired.
