Essential Responsibilities & Duties

  • Exemplify commitment to technical excellence to meet client expectations and achieve client satisfaction, and profitable project execution.
  • Serve as a technical leader, project manager, and mentor.
  • Manage project’s performance in the areas of growth, operations, and administration to ensure project achieves company goals.
  • Demonstrate leadership qualities that instill confidence from clients, subconsultants/vendors, and employees.
  • Plan, organize, and manage the work at the jobsite location to ensure the work is accomplished in a manner consistent with organizational expectations and requirements.
  • Lead proposal efforts, presentations, maintain high visibility in the marketplace through regular client contact, participate and encourage active participation in client-based professional organizations, and make presentations at industry events.
  • Provide guidance to team members and monitor their performance, discipline, and attendance as defined by GEI policies and procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary project teams and nationwide company offices at client/project locations.
  • Grow GEI’s geotechnical practice (www.geiconsultants.com) by developing existing and new clients and markets.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related fields required; Master’s Degree preferred but not required.
  • Professionally Licensed in Tennessee, surrounding states preferred (AL, KY, MS, GA, NC, VA).
  • Excellent technical report writing and communication skills.

Desired Qualifications

  • 10+ years in a project management role and client relationship management role.
  • Experience working with State and Federal clients.
  • Experience working within the utility industry.
  • Willingness and ability to travel to GEI branch offices and client sites as required.
  • Able to build client relationships and cross-sell services to existing clients.
