About the role
This role is based at our client site 5 days a week in Pittsburgh, PA, Cleveland, OH, or Dallas, TX. Employer sponsorship of immigration-related visas and/or green card status as part of the PERM process is not available for this engagement.
CGI is seeking a highly skilled and innovative GenAI Engineer with exposure to GenAI and agentic AI patterns such as RAG, orchestration, tool integration, and governed workflow automation.
Responsibilities
- Maintain existing predictive models while architecting for the future, including integrating predictive models with generative AI.
- Build and deploy predictive models based on Random Forest, Linear Regression, and similar techniques for enterprise-scale problems such as fraud detection, anomaly detection, and churn prediction.
- Develop robust and scalable pipelines for data preprocessing, model training, and deployment.
- Design and implement scalable ML pipelines with CI/CD automation, efficient model training, validation, and deployment across enterprise environments.
- Integrate large language models (LLMs) with enterprise datasets using Azure OpenAI.
- Apply MLOps practices for building scalable AI pipelines.
- Demonstrate strong programming skills in Python and familiarity with machine learning frameworks like PyTorch.
- Work with generative AI models such as GPT and agentic frameworks (e.g., AutoGen, LangGraph, MCP).
- Apply solid understanding of natural language processing (NLP) and AI ethics.
- Translate complex requirements into scalable and efficient architecture.
- Exhibit excellent communication and leadership qualities to work independently with minimal supervision.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a relevant field.
- Minimum of 6+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or similar role, with 1–2 years specifically focused on GenAI or AI/ML projects.
- Strong knowledge of data architecture in the banking domain.
- 4+ years of work experience in Python and MongoDB.
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins, model training, and model deployment.
- Knowledge of LLM models, LangChain, and Hugging Face.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Pay
A reasonable estimate of the current compensation range for this role in the U.S. is $70,800.00 – $156,700.00.
