Senior Engineer - GenAI Engineering

Job Summary

GE Vernova is building a dedicated team to leverage Generative AI and redefine industry engagement. The team aims to automate prompting and develop a framework for sharing prompts across use cases. This role is at the intersection of advanced technology and traditional energy industry operations, focusing on automating prompting and maximizing reuse across businesses.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with domain experts to translate business needs into clear and effective LLM prompts.
• Develop, test, and refine prompts for various use cases to ensure high accuracy and relevance.
• Work closely with software developers to integrate LLM solutions into existing or new applications.
• Contribute to a scalable framework for prompt engineering to promote reuse and knowledge sharing.
• Aid in analyzing user feedback to improve prompt effectiveness.
• Stay up-to-date with LLM technology advancements and contribute to tool selection.
• Document prompt engineering processes, best practices, and outcomes.

Requirements

• Education: Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, AI Engineering, or related fields.
• Experience: 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Skills:
• 3+ years of experience with prompt engineering and tools (e.g., OpenAI GPT, Hugging Face).
• 3+ years of programming experience (Python or others used in AI/ML).
• Experience with machine learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch) and data libraries (Pandas, NumPy).
• Familiarity with version control systems (Git).

Soft Skills

• Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay Range: $113,200.00 – $188,800.00 annually (plus geographic differential and discretionary annual bonus eligibility).
