Senior Lead GenAI Engineer

About the role

Design and build a stateful, headless GenAI application that helps commercial marketers create grounded and personalized content. The application will coordinate multiple agents and enterprise services, maintain conversational and project state, and generate structured JSON or HTML content blueprints that downstream platforms can assemble into finished assets.

This is a hands-on senior contractor role—you will propose the architecture, make key technical decisions, and code critical components.

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement a production-grade GenAI application
• Design stateful, multi-turn, multi-agent orchestration systems
• Build headless services that produce structured outputs (JSON/HTML) for downstream platforms
• Integrate GenAI applications with enterprise platforms, data services, and content repositories
• Implement RAG, grounding, application state, memory, evaluations, and observability
• Develop streaming, multi-turn GenAI interfaces with conversation history, clarification flows, and error handling
• Render structured responses (tables, charts, citations, reusable results)
• Propose architecture, establish coding patterns, make technical decisions, review other engineers' work, and deliver production code

Requirements

• Significant hands-on experience architecting and building production GenAI applications
• Strong Python or TypeScript software engineering and microservices experience
• Experience designing stateful, multi-agent orchestration systems
• API-first architecture and structured-contract design experience
• Experience with RAG, grounding, application state, memory, and production observability
• Experience building streaming, multi-turn GenAI interfaces with conversation history and error handling
• Ability to render structured responses (tables, charts, citations, reusable results)
• Strong AWS, Amazon Bedrock, and AgentCore experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with content generation, content-as-code, personalization, or marketing-technology platforms
• Experience with Workfront, Veeva Vault PromoMats, AEM Assets, or comparable enterprise content systems
• Experience in commercial pharma or another regulated content environment

Schedule

Onsite 3 days per week in South San Francisco, CA. Duration: 6+ months.
