Senior GCP DevOps Engineer | Remote in Hawaii

The Role: We are seeking a Senior GCP DevOps Engineer or Cloud Engineer to support the design, implementation, and ongoing improvement of cloud infrastructure and DevOps practices within Google Cloud Platform. This is a remote position, but candidates must be located in Hawaii. The role will require working later hours, with regular availability until approximately 6:00 PM or 7:00 PM Hawaii Standard Time. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with GCP environments, cloud infrastructure, automation, deployments, and production systems. We are open to candidates with different cloud and DevOps backgrounds who can demonstrate strong technical fundamentals and the ability to learn quickly. Key Responsibilities: Design, build, and maintain secure and scalable cloud infrastructure within Google Cloud PlatformSupport the deployment, monitoring, reliability, and performance of cloud-based applications and servicesDevelop and improve infrastructure automation and deployment processesBuild and maintain CI/CD pipelinesPartner with engineering teams to streamline application releases and cloud operationsMonitor production environments and assist with troubleshooting, incident response, and root cause analysisHelp improve cloud security, access controls, logging, monitoring, and operational standardsIdentify opportunities to improve infrastructure reliability, scalability, and cost efficiencyCreate and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and operational proceduresCollaborate with distributed technical teams across different locations and time zones Required Skills: Professional experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, site reliability engineering, platform engineering, or a related disciplineHands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform or comparable cloud infrastructureExperience supporting cloud-based applications and production environmentsFamiliarity with infrastructure as code tools such as TerraformExperience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automationUnderstanding of containers and technologies such as Docker or KubernetesExperience with scripting or automation using Python, Bash, or a similar languageFamiliarity with cloud monitoring, logging, networking, security, and access managementStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsAbility to communicate and collaborate effectively with remote and distributed teamsMust be located in HawaiiMust be able to regularly work until approximately 6:00 PM or 7:00 PM Hawaii Standard Time Nice to have: Experience with GCP services such as Compute Engine, Cloud Run, Google Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, IAM, or Cloud MonitoringExperience supporting Kubernetes-based environmentsFamiliarity with GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar CI/CD toolsExperience working with highly available or business-critical systemsFamiliarity with cloud cost optimization, security best practices, or disaster recoveryGoogle Cloud or other relevant cloud certifications Employment type: ContractApplicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time Tech Holding is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer and is committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace.
