DevOps Engineer | GCP - Architecture & Engineering - Remote US

Responsibilities

• Support cloud platform operations
• Implement infrastructure-as-code solutions
• Integrate security and compliance controls into development workflows
• Assist with vulnerability remediation efforts
• Help application teams adopt engineering best practices

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field
• 4+ years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, Cloud Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or related software infrastructure roles
• Hands-on experience designing, implementing, and supporting solutions within the Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including services such as GKE, Compute Engine, BigQuery, Cloud Functions, IAM, Cloud Storage, and networking
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or comparable automation tools
• Strong understanding of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred) and cloud automation best practices
• Experience working with containerization and orchestration technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes (GKE preferred)
• Proficiency with scripting or programming languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation and operational tooling
• Experience implementing cloud security best practices, including IAM, secrets management, vulnerability remediation, and integrating security controls into CI/CD pipelines
• Experience using Git version control and collaborating within Agile software development environments
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills with the ability to identify, diagnose, and resolve complex infrastructure and application issues
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to partner effectively across Architecture, Security, Platform Engineering, and Application Development teams
