GCP DevOps Engineer

Responsibilities

• Clarify and analyze customer requirements
• Communicate effectively with clients to ensure successful collaboration
• Support the adaptation of applications to a Cloud-Native architecture.
• Implement DevOps principles, including CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code
• Document technical decisions and designs for future reference
• Share knowledge and expertise in team-wide sessions.
• Design, implement, and manage secure and scalable cloud infrastructure using Google Cloud Platform.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code (IaC) using Terraform, Deployment Manager, or similar tools.
• Support CI/CD pipeline automation, integration, and management.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or related roles
• Practical experience with 2+ in Google Cloud Platform products like Google Kubernetes Engine, CloudBuild, and Google Secret Management.
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform services such as Compute Engine, Cloud Functions, VPC, IAM, GKE, and BigQuery.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform, Ansible, or Deployment Manager.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI, Jenkins, or Cloud Build.
• Solid understanding of Linux systems, networking, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Expertise in achieving high availability, scalability, and security for Kubernetes clusters and applications.
• Proficiency with version control systems such as GitHub
• Competency in using CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions or Jenkins
• Skills in writing Dockerfiles and Kubernetes YAML files
• Background in infrastructure configuration with Terraform or Ansible.
• Capability to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Kubernetes clusters and network connectivity.
• Familiarity with troubleshooting Python applications.
