Senior Fundraising Consultant / Capital Formation Lead
Company: Cypress Capital Group
- About the role: Cypress Capital Group is seeking a senior fundraising consultant / capital formation leader to support capital raising for its next private equity real estate fund and help build the firm’s long-term investor relations function.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a focused capital formation strategy targeting private wealth, family office, RIA, founder, and technology wealth channels.
- Introduce CCG to qualified prospective investors capable of allocating generally between $250K and $5M+ to private real estate opportunities.
- Originate warm investor conversations through existing relationships, rather than relying on cold outreach or list-building.
- Build and manage a high-quality investor pipeline, including outreach, meeting coordination, follow-up, investor education, and relationship tracking.
- Collaborate with CCG’s senior leadership team on fundraising strategy, investor messaging, pitch materials, and market positioning.
- Represent CCG professionally in investor conversations, private meetings, family office discussions, industry events, and private wealth channels.
- Support the long-term development of CCG’s investor relations and capital formation platform as the firm scales.
- Qualifications:
- 10+ years of capital formation, investor relations, and alternatives distribution.
- An established network of qualified investors across one or more of the following channels: Founders, senior technology executives, and recently liquid technology professionals
- High-net-worth individuals, single-family offices and smaller multi-family offices, independent RIAs and private wealth advisors, angel investors and venture-adjacent private investors, private investors active in alternatives, real estate, direct deals, or private funds
- Existing relationships with qualified investors capable of writing $250K to $5M+ checks into private real estate or alternative investment strategies.
- Ability to generate warm introductions and credible investor conversations through an existing relationship network.
- Strong understanding of private real estate, alternative investments, investor suitability, and relationship-driven fundraising.
- Excellent communication, follow-up, organization, and relationship management skills.
- High integrity, entrepreneurial mindset, and ability to represent a boutique investment platform with sophistication and discretion.
- Interest in helping build the firm’s long-term capital formation function, not simply acting as a transactional salesperson.
- Compensation:
- This role is expected to include a monthly consulting retainer plus performance-based compensation tied to qualified investor introductions and capital formation outcomes.
- For the right candidate, CCG is open to creating a long-term economic path that may include performance bonuses, future fund-level economics, carry participation, potential long-term equity participation in the firm, and transition to a full-time leadership or Partner-track role.
- Who This Role Is For:
- This role is best suited for a senior relationship-driven capital formation professional who has already built meaningful investor relationships, particularly in Silicon Valley/NY, and is looking for a more entrepreneurial platform, with more professional and economic upside.
- Application Process:
- Interested candidates should submit the following to info@cypresscapgroup.com:
- Cover letter
- Resume or professional biography
- Detailed track record of capital raised, including investor type, approximate capital raised, asset classes represented, and role in the fundraising process
- Description of relevant investor networks and geographic focus
